MEET OUR EXPERTS:
Alan
Stremel - Owner/Sales/Master Installer- is a CPA with 29 years experience in
the Denver business community, 11 of those in the window covering industry. He
has been Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of
companies in various market segments ranging in size from start-ups to
$200,000.000 in annual sales. Alan was Chief Financial Officer of a window
covering company named Colorel Blinds in the 1990’s. He also held positions
managing sales and fabrication for Colorel Blinds, a local company with eighteen
stores and three factories. He started Rocky Mountain Shutters & Shades in 2003
when a friend in the industry suggested the Denver Market was not being well
served with high quality service or products. The company turned into a Family
business when his daughter Kristen joined him in March 2005. Our goal is to
provide excellent customer service and superior products at a fair price. Alan
is intimately involved in all aspects of the business, filling in for sales and
installation as needed (he is a Hunter Douglas Certified Master Installer) as
well as completing all of the final measures. His attention to detail and vast
experience in the industry helps us maintain a near perfect record on delivering
the right size product the first time in an industry fraught with measurement
errors. When he isn’t serving customers, he enjoys skiing, biking and spending
time with family.
Kristen
Brown- Vice President/Sales- has worked with Rocky Mountain Shutters &
Shades since March of 2005. She graduated from Colorado
State University with a
Bachelors of Arts Degree specializing in Photography. She began at the company
as the Office Manager and has since grown and changed into a jack of all
trades. She handles office duties, sales, and assisting in keeping the company
running smoothly. She loves the sales aspect of the job because helping with
color and design is one of her specialties. She has been through many different
Hunter Douglas training classes and her knowledge continues to grow everyday.
When not working she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, running and
enjoying the outdoors.
Marcie
Macias - Park Meadows Showroom Manager - started
with Rocky Mountain Shutters & Shades in July 2011 and manages the Park Meadows
showroom. She worked with Rocky Mountain Shutters & Shades when we opened in
2003 and we are thrilled to have her with us again. She has been in the window
covering industry for over 30 years and has experience in both sales and
fabrication of window coverings. With 30 years
experience her knowledge continues to grow daily as the industry changes. She
thoroughly enjoys assisting customers in the showroom and excels in customer
service. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Don
Brent- Master Installer - has been working with Rocky Mountain
Shutters & Shades since January 2008. He has been installing shutters and
shades since 1997. In 2008 he became a Hunter Douglas Certified Installer and
in 2009 earned the status of Hunter Douglas Master Installer. Don is great at
problem solving the more challenging installation jobs. He takes pride in
making the products you order look perfect in your home. In his spare time he
enjoys a good game of golf.
Ben
Sporleder- Installation Assistant/Repair Center- oversees the Dealer
Service Center repair facility
at Rocky Mountain Shutters and Shades. This is where we make a customers
Warranty repairs at no charge to them. We are one of only a handful of such centers in
the Denver Market. Ben loves the challenge of trouble shooting and repairing
your troubled Hunter Douglas blinds and shades. Ben also assists Don installing
window coverings in your home. Ben came to us from a career in television
production, assisting in the development of commercial video shoots. In Ben’s
spare time he enjoys Alpine Skiing and Fly Fishing.
Brittany
Pearson- Office Assistant/Denver Showroom Sales- began working with Rocky Mountain Shutters &
Shades in October 2010, and in a short period has learned so much about the
Window Covering Industry. She came to us with 2 years experience scheduling
service technicians in the telecommunications and machine service field. She
takes pride in keeping the paperwork in perfect order and enjoys assisting
customers in the Denver showroom find the perfect products for them. In her spare time she
enjoys spending time, and doing fun activities with her daughter.
Elissa
Reuter - Park Meadows Showroom Sales -
started with Rocky Mountain Shutters and Shades in August 2011, and assists
customers in our Park Meadows showroom. She has been in the window covering
industry for just over 5 years selling blinds, shutters, shades and many Hunter
Douglas products. She has an art and design background working with color and
textiles. She enjoys working with people and brining their ideas to life and has
excelled in the customer service industry for over 10 years. In her free time
she enjoys being outdoors with her dog and spending time with her loved ones.
